Understanding these terms is important because by using The Gnow ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Gnow is a calendar analysis tool that connects to your Google Calendar via OAuth to sync events, analyze your schedule, identify social connections (via attendees), geocode locations using Google services, and provide insights. The Service is provided "as is."
You must sign in using a Google account. We request access to your calendars and events (read-only by default for analysis). You control what calendars are synced via the app. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
You retain ownership of your calendar data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to access, process, store, and analyze your calendar events, attendees, locations, and related data solely to provide and improve the Service.
We may store derived data such as schedules, place details, and user-marked relations.
You agree not to use the Service for any illegal purpose, to violate others' rights, or to interfere with the Service. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape beyond the provided API access.
The Service relies on Google APIs (Calendar, Places, Maps, OAuth). Your use is also subject to Google's terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for Google's services or data accuracy.
The Service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Gnow, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
For questions about these Terms, contact us via the app or at legal@thegnow.com.
